Connecting Adults and Students to Achieve

Connecting Adults and Students to Achieve (CASA) provides opportunities for students to build a community and maintain connections at Cretin-Derham Hall, giving them resources at school to support them socially, academically, and more through a small group environment with two adults. With students from all four years, the CASA environment fosters a family and mentorship environment. This truly allows for all students at Cretin-Derham Hall to feel like a part of the community with CASA families meeting three times per month. Families consist of two adults and around 20 students, with 4-5 students from each year. Families join to form houses, centered on different values of Cretin-Derham Hall and participate in activities of their choosing. Students at Cretin-Derham Hall look to these groups for mentorship during all four years of their experience, and can share their own experiences to help guide their peers. The goal of the CASA program is to make sure no one falls through the cracks and all members of the CDH community feel valued.

Leadership Academy

Leadership Academy provides third year students with 6 units of coursework that integrates Cretin-Derham Hall principles and standards to develop and utilize the skills necessary for students to lead positively at school and in their communities. Students are given the opportunity to complete a capstone project during their fourth year to implement skills developed in Leadership Academy. If a student chooses to complete the capstone, Leadership Academy is added to their transcript.
