Tara joins Amerigo having thus far enjoyed a 20 year career in higher education. Tara’s previous roles include Executive Director of Academic Success at Purdue University Northwest, Assistant Dean of Students at Northwestern University and Associate Director of Residence Life at Loyola University Chicago. Tara has a passion for effectively integrating students’ academic and residential experiences using living/learning communities to increase overall student success and development, and can’t wait to implement these practices at Amerigo.

Tara earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and her Master’s and Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Michigan. On top of a wonderful professional and academic background, Tara also brings the benefit of being local to the community. For over 13 years Tara and her family have called the south suburbs near Marian home and she is looking forward to sharing her love for the community with the students and staff on the Chicago campus.
